Director of Sales & Marketing | Luxury Lifestyle Hotel | Nashville
A luxury hotel property is seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to lead total revenue strategy and drive performance across all revenue streams, including group and transient rooms, group food & beverage, meeting and event space, catering, outlets, and ancillary revenue.
This executive-level role reports directly to the General Manager and serves as a key member of the Executive Committee. The Director will oversee revenue optimization, market positioning, and strategic sales initiatives to maximize profitability while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a strategic, revenue-driven executive seeking to influence property-wide performance and partner closely with ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute total revenue and yield strategies across all segments
- Lead market mix, pricing, positioning, and acquisition strategies
- Achieve and exceed rooms revenue budget and overall property targets
- Partner with Revenue leadership on rate strategy and forecasting
- Review and adjust market mix based on performance trends
Leadership & Department Oversight
- Oversee all Sales & Marketing operations
- Lead and develop departmental managers and sales leaders
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top-performing team members
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Drive accountability for goal achievement and plan execution
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and reports
- Clearly articulate strategy and performance metrics to ownership and senior leadership
- Monitor guest feedback and performance data to drive engagement and retention
- Identify process improvements and introduce new initiatives to enhance competitiveness
Operational Excellence
- Ensure strong cross-department collaboration across the property
- Maintain accurate budgeting and forecasting processes
- Oversee compliance with brand, operational, and service standards
- Operate effectively within a 24-hour, fast-paced luxury environment
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 6+ years in a comparable Director-level sales leadership role within the luxury hotel market
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and financial performance
- Strong leadership presence with proven ability to build and develop teams
- Advanced understanding of Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management financial principles
- Excellent presentation, communication, and business development skills
- Highly organized with strong time management and strategic planning abilities
- Experience with CRM and Property Management systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving luxury environment
- Fluency in a second language preferred
